«Greece: a strategic link between Europe, America and Asia»
The BLUE STRATEGY SUMMIT 2026 conference aimed to highlight Greece’s strategic importance in the new maritime geo-economy, as well as its contribution to establishing a stable framework for dialogue on the shipbuilding industry, the maritime economy, energy security and defence production. The BLUE STRATEGY SUMMIT 2026, held at the InterContinental Athens on Monday 25 May under the auspices of the Presidency of the Republicwith the support of the Ministries of National Defence, Environment and Energy, Development, Labour and Social Security, Infrastructure and Transport, and Shipping and Island Policy.
In his speech, the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea, Ju-seong LIM, looking back over history, emphasised, amongst other things:
«We are learning to develop relations between Greece and Korea in the shipping sector. The Greek shipping industry has believed in the potential for cooperation between the two countries. Korea possesses highly advanced automated shipping technology. It did not achieve this on its own; for 55 years now, it has been collaborating with the Greek shipping industry. We have a bond of trust between us. As long as Greece remains true to its roots, it is only a matter of time before it conquers the world.».
The conference was presented by ERT journalist and presenter Adriana Paraskevopoulou.
